Chunyi Shen
Chunyi Shen (b. 1998, China) is a MA Digital Direction student from the Royal College of Art with a bachelor's degree in Arts - Drama & Film Literature. She is an active artist in the United Kingdom and China. Two of her artwork were selected to display at Ircam, Centre Pompidou, and London Craft Week in 2022.
She is a transmedia storyteller, who uses a variety of media to construct narration, such as machine learning, games, moving images, AIGC, and Virtual reality & Augmented reality. She aims to use her work to transcend the boundary between the physical and digital space.
Her interest is to explore the relationship and the potential issues between the human body and spirit. She also wants to discover the limitations of the human mindset. Cross-species are involved in her research to identify controversial problems, such as AI ethics, the intelligence of microorganisms, virtual species co-existence, the voice of the marginalized, and so on.
