Chunyi Shen

Chunyi Shen (Chengdu, China) is a London-based transmedia artist whose work examines posthumanism, ecological interdependence, and nonhuman agency. Drawing on multispecies ethnography, she creates immersive digital environments using AI co-creation, VR/AR, and interactive design to blur boundaries between organic and synthetic realms.

Shen earned her master’s degree in Digital Direction from the Royal College of Art. Her work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions, including the Centre Pompidou’s IRCAM, Outernet London, and London Craft Week. Notable projects like Ritual and Healing and The Stonecene showcase her distinctive approach to combining cultural narratives with speculative technology. She has also collaborated with research institutions like Tsinghua University’s Future Lab, deepening her exploration of art’s potential to reshape human and nonhuman narratives.
